Remembering September 11th

Tuesday September 9, 2003

Two years after the tragic events of September 11th, cries of pain can still be felt around the world. The last of the 343 firefighters killed during the attack was laid to rest only days ago. The day two passenger jets slammed into the World Trade Center will always be a day of remembrance.

Did you know that there were many gay, lesbian and bisexual victims of September 11th? Unfortunately, many of their surviving gay partners didn't receive equal benefits, but the Empire State Pride Agenda helped raise almost $400,000 for the partners of the gay victims.

Join me in honoring the victims of the tragic event that's marked our lives forever and learn how to support each other on the anniversary of September 11th.
