Massachusetts May Ban Gay Marriage But Allow Civil Unions

The Massachusetts legislature adopted language in it's constitution banning same-sex marriage while allowing the lesser rights that civil unions allow. The Legislature must still make two more votes on the issue before the voters decide in 2006.
