Will The Terminator Terminate Gay Marriage in California?

After a sweeping victory for gay marriage in the California Senate (read more), the state legislature approved Bill AB489, defining marriage in California as gender neutral. Governor Schwarzenegger has kept quiet on the issue up until now. His spokeswoman told the Associated Press that "he will uphold whatever the court decides." The state currently provides domestic partnership benefits for California couples, but gay activists continue to push for equal marriage protection, not a compromise.
