LGBT History Month

Wednesday September 27, 2006
October is LGBT History Month in the U.S. LGBT History Month is celebrated on Valentine's Day in the U.K. Even though some believe celebrating the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people is a form of indoctrination, LGBT History Month promotes openness, heritage and acceptance. Gay History Month (as with other designated awareness months) shouldn't just promote inner communal pride, but should be an opportunity for others outside of the community to accept differences and promote awareness. Raise a flag for LGBT History Month.
