Matt Alber Keeps Romance Alive

Thursday February 5, 2009
Out singer Matt Alber won't be breaking hearts any time soon. He's actually in the business of bringing romance back. An odd sentiment given the title of his dreamy track and video "End Of The World" from the album Hide Nothing. The song isn't about an Earthly Armageddon or the end of love. It's about the lengths we all all go through and should brave for the most rewarding of human experiences—love.

Should we all love like it's the end of the world? Alber, a former classical Chanticleer and self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, calls all love soldiers into action:

"The song is more about the hope of love than anything else," Alber says in an interview about the release of his tear-jerking video. "I can fall in love in a heartbeat or a long glance. It makes dating a little complicated. I'm still trying to figure that middle ground out."

Lovely video, I saw it for the first time embedded in one of my gay friends’ blog. The dance and kiss scene looks so natural and beautiful, it’s just perfectly done. And the video’s background story is interesting. :)
