Recording artist Kandi Burrus, star of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta, says she has lots of gay friends and a gay uncle.
"I'm very comforable [with gay people]," Kandi said in an interview with Texas-based blogger NewNue of YoBoiNewNue.
When asked if she had gay friends, Burrus said that she has "lots of gay friends, both men and women." She then went on to talk about growing up with an openly gay uncle, her career and the future of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Kandi replaced DeShawn Snow in season two of The Real Housewives, quickly becoming a fan favorite. The Grammy-winning recording artist is a former member of the R&B group Xscape and has written songs for Mariah Carey and group TLC.
