For some kids, being bullied or called names in school is as routine as straining through Algebra or laboring through another indistinguishable lunch. The bullying and name-calling they experience, however, is far more damaging and sometimes a matter of life or death.

Studies show that youth who are bullied are five times more likely to be depressed and to report suicidal thoughts. In the special feature, Bullycides: The Right To Live, In The Life investigates bullycides, a term used to describe the national crisis of youth suicides as a result of bullying.

Bullying is ongoing, severe, and a common reality for many LGBT youth. Watch the entire In The Life video on bullycides after the jump.
