Darnell "Dynasty" Young, 17, and his mother, Chelisa Grimes filed a lawsuit last Friday in federal court against Arsenal Technical High School for failing to protect the out teen from bullying.
Young said he was repeatedly being bullied but school officials took no action. After consulting his mom, Young took matters into his own hands by arming himself with a stun gun.
on April 16 six boys threatened to beat up Young and he fired. No one was hurt, but Young was expelled for violating the school's anti-fire arms policy. Young and his mom say the severe reaction from the school was unfair.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
