Joe Moreno is curious as well. He's now asking Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy to clarify the company's position. Moreno says company executives promised to reverse their anti-gay policies in order to obtain a building permit in Chicago, but since Cathy has made contradictory statements to the media.
"There continues to be erroneous implications in the media that Chick-fil-A changed our practices and priorities in order to obtain permission for a new restaurant in Chicago," Cathy said in a statement to Mike Huckabee. "That is incorrect."
So which is it? Will Chick-fil-A continue to support anti gay rights organizations or are CFA execs trying to distance themselves from their CEO? Moreno isn't the only one that wants clarity.
