NEWS: Moreno Asks Chick-fil-A To Clarify Stance on Gay Rights

By September 24, 2012

Follow me on:

Last week fast food giant Chick-fil-A seemed to make a complete turnaround by issuing a statement addressed to Chicago alderman Joe Moreno stating that the chain would cease donating money to anti-gay organizations. Gay men and women immediately called foul and it seems our suspicions are warranted.

Joe Moreno is curious as well. He's now asking Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy to clarify the company's position. Moreno says company executives promised to reverse their anti-gay policies in order to obtain a building permit in Chicago, but since Cathy has made contradictory statements to the media.

"There continues to be erroneous implications in the media that Chick-fil-A changed our practices and priorities in order to obtain permission for a new restaurant in Chicago," Cathy said in a statement to Mike Huckabee. "That is incorrect."

So which is it? Will Chick-fil-A continue to support anti gay rights organizations or are CFA execs trying to distance themselves from their CEO? Moreno isn't the only one that wants clarity.

Once a bigot always a bigot…As I posted in the past here, they have not, and will not change at all….The owner/CEO is a die hard member of the 700 club elite, focus on the Family and other Bible thumping bigoted want to rule your life groups. It is a shame that people will believe the lies these people spread and just how low they will stoop to control you and your life. Boycott Chick-Fil-A until death do I part this world.

If Chick-Fil-A cannot GUARANTEE Moreno that their policy of funding anti-gay groups has ceased, then Moreno is correct in denying ANY permits to build new Hate Profit Centers (aka Chick-Fil-A restaurants) in Chicago, since they violate the city’s anti-discrimination ordinances.
