The Public Disclosure Commission released Tuesday that thus far, Washington United for Marriage has raised $10 million in cash contributions, almost a third in six weeks. Washington United for Marriage is an organization that is advocating to uphold Washington's gay marriage law.

According to Seattle Times, Washington United for Marriage has spent more than $5 million on television ads and outgunned opposing campaign Preserve Marriage Washington by a cool million.
Why is it important to spread the message? In February Washington was to become the seventh US state to legalize gay marriage behind New York. But the measure was put on hold until November's election to let voters decide.
