Ford Not So Tough When It Comes To Gays

The latest tactic by anti-gay conservative groups is to threaten a boycott of major companies unless they discontinue support of the gay community through advertising.Back in May, the American Family Association threatened to solicit signatures to boycott Ford Motor Company for its support on gay issues (read story). Ford vowed that conservative groups would not bully the company. However, the number 3 automaker coincidently reduced its gay advertising at the same time the AFA cancelled its boycott plans, claiming victory. So much for being built Ford tough.
Ford's line of vehicles includes Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Volvo, Jaguar, Mazda and Land Rover.
