About Playing a Gay Character: Referencing his role as Thad in Playmakers, Petronijevic states that he "didn't want [his character] to be, 'He's gay, and he plays football.' [He] wanted to play a guy who is a football player and who is gay."
Showtime's Soldier's Girl: Daniel Petronijevic also played a soldier in Showtime's original film Soldier's Girl, a true story of the violent death of a soldier in love with a transsexual. He died at the hands of his fellow infantrymen.
Angel Eyes: Daniel has also acted alongside Jennifer Lopez in the 2001 release of Angel Eyes.
