The OraQuick rapid HIV test, manufactured by OraSure Technologies will be available in hospitals and laboratories. This new rapid test will also be available in physician's offices, some community organizations and outreach program creating wider access to HIV test results.
Standard HIV test can take two or more weeks to produce results. Nonetheless, it is suggested that the OraQuick rapid HIV test be followed up by a standard HIV test.
