"Boy Meets Boy" Synopsis
Cable television network, Bravo has launched yet another reality dating show. However, its rendition "Boy Meets Boy" differs from the rest by featuring 15 guys who are competing for the heart of one handsome bachelor, James. This new gay spin on public television adds a further twist: some of the single men are straight, but the star has no idea which ones. Their sexuality is disclosed only when they are eliminated. Also, if the straight guy gets James to fall for him, he can win $25,000.
How does "Boy Meets Boy" work?
One bachelor, James rooms with 15 other men in a house in Palm Springs. The men attempt to win James' heart by going on single and group dates. Each round James must eliminate a roommate until the list is narrowed to only one romantic hopeful. The only catch is that James and the viewers don't know which potentials are gay and which are straight. "Boy Meets Boy" is hosted by Dani Behr from "Extra."
When Does "Boy Meets Boy" air?
"Boy Meets Boy" airs Tuesdays at 9pm EST/ 8pm CST on the Bravo network. The show premiers Tuesday July 29th. Check you local cable television network for local listings.
Opinions:
"Boy Meets Boy" openly gay executive producer Douglas Ross "wanted to test the boundaries between gay and straight, and create a world where the straight people were in the closet." However, leading man James felt that the television network "played gay people as entertainment for straight people."
