Zaida,
I'm a Gay 17 year old and From Utah, Does that sum it up? Now it's my senior year in high school and I'm really looking for that special someone, who as far as I can tell doesn't exist in Utah. I really don't know what to do when I comes to finding guys and making the first step. Any advice you have to my lost soul would be very much appreciated.
I have good news for
you. You are at the prime age to plot out your destiny. If you plan to go to
college you should find a plethora of opportunities to meet new gay people and
friends. Even in a rural setting, campus life is full of 'sex-capades' that you
can partake in....God bless higher education! Obviously, a religiously-based
University would probably not be the best place for you to explore. Whether
you attend college or not, you will also find that there are gay organizations
and support groups that offer a chance to be active in the community and meet
other gay people. While you're still in
high school, it can be difficult to decipher who is gay and who is not,
especially if your community is not gay friendly. You may be surprised at
your 10 year reunion how many gay class mates will surface by that time. In the
mean time, keep an eye out for any flirtation that may be directed towards you.
There may be a secret admirer out there. Be patient, my dear and try to stay
focused on eventually getting yourself in a place that will allow for you to
meet more gay cuties.
