At just 4 feet, 11 inches tall, Emmy Award-winning actor and playwright Leslie Jordan has a lively stage presence that, from the moment he appears, takes on a life of its own. His flamboyant and boisterous nature has made the 55-year-old comedian an audience favorite.

Mr. Jordan, born April 29, 1955, has guest starred on popular TV shows Ugly Betty, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Star Trek: Voyager and Reba, but is most famously known for his role as Beverley Leslie, Karen's brutal nemesis on the hit series Will & Grace. That role earned him an Emmy Award for Best Guest Actor in a Comedy Series at the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in 2006.

Although Leslie Jordan's character on Will & Grace met a tragic demise, his real-life theatrics continue to liven the stage. "My Trip Down the Pink Carpet," Mr. Jordan’s one-man play about growing up as a young gay man in Chattanooga, Tennessee (his birthplace) opened at the Westside Theater in Manhattan on April 26, 2010 and is adapted from his book of the same title.

"It is my story," Mr. Jordan told The New York Times. "And it's entertaining."
