Guide Review - Clubfly.com: Gay and Lesbian Bar Finder

Clubfly.com is well on its way to becoming a must bookmark page for the gay traveler or the bar fly sitting at home bored. Get an easy to read citywide map, which can also be viewed as a satellite image or hybrid. Users can add their favorite venues to the map as well as access bar reviews and graphics.

My user experience was quickly dampened when a quick search of the bars in a local town near me returned meager results. Clubfly is still in Beta testing so I hope the incomplete listings are a product of a young site and not the sign of a user dependant directory. It's understandable that popular gay hot spots have more thorough listings, but gay men have the hardest time finding gay venues in smaller towns. A focus on the underdog would yield a better user experience, especially for the traveler who has no choice but to attend that business meeting in Ghosttown, Michigan or Whowantstogo, Iowa.

Once the gay bars are better populated, Clubfly will be the gay bar finder of choice. It's professional look and feel captures confidence in the club reviews and the accuracy of the locations that are listed. Mapping the venues out is a definite time saver and plus for the discreet and regular clubber.
