Charlie David is entertainment! The clever actor is not only the hot out star of Dante's Cove, he also listens to the TV on mute, still reminisces about his imaginary pet and refuses to accept anything but monogamy. Here's our interview with Charlie David:

You grew up with an imaginary pet because your parents wouldn't buy you one. What was his name?

Oh wow. Well, the imaginary pet was a ball tied to a red string that I would drag behind me where ever I went—for literally months. I wanted a dog so badly!! Creativity was something I would develop later and so it was aptly named DOG. At any rate, it was a form of embarrassing punishment for my parents for not buckling under the pressure of their 3 year old dragging a ball on a string, calling pathetically, "Here dog, come on dog! Good boy!"

Do you have a pet now?

No, I am still scarred by that experience. I tried fish but they died after a day. Maybe my parents were trying to save me the pain... or the animals the pain of me as an owner.

What's gay life like in your home town Saskatchewan?

I don't think that question has an appropriate answer, if you mean were there parades and discos and gender bending farmers - no. How does a dude like me discovering his sexuality come to terms with being in an environment that no more matches the embodiment of who he is than do pairing a pair of sports socks with sandals?

Assimilate. Until my octagon personality needed to bust out of the square closet or suffer the squashing effects on the soul of becoming one and the same.

But I dated some really hot hockey players while there. You know what the Beach Boys sing about 'The Northern Girls with the way they kiss, keepin' their boyfriends warm at night'—well it goes the same for the boys... those boys know how to keep their boyfriends warm at night, too.

You play the loving and monogamous Toby on Dante's Cove. Are you a fan of long-term relationships or do you like to explore your options?

Monogamy resonates with me and that's what I pursue.

Who's your favorite gay person in the whole world?

Ellen Degeneres. I watch her with the volume off and I still laugh. She is so full of a genuine love of life. It's contagious.

Do you have any regrets about being an out actor?

Nope. Notta. Zip. Zilch.

Do you have a message for the closeted actors out there?

Hey guys! If you'd like I can come over and help paint. I have some excellent ideas about opening up a space with bright colors and a window treatment. Living in the closet isn't for me, but if you want to stay there, that's cool—let's just make sure you're comfortable.

What's the one thing about Charlie David that most people don't know?

My numerology is a part of the Fibonacci Sequence that when divided upon itself equals Phi or the Golden Ratio. Seriously.

You started Border2Border Entertainment to explore projects you're passionate about. What are those passions?

I'm passionate about telling stories that resonate and assist people in reflecting about themselves or society and making them laugh while we're at it. There is no one genre that I'm drawn to but am driven to give a voice to all the people in my head... before they organize themselves and declare mutiny.

Meet Charlie David and his imaginary pet DOG in Charliewood.
