Guillermo Diaz was born on March 22, 1971 in New Jersey to Cuban-born parents. The openly gay actor grew up in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City. He got his start in the industry as Spike in the 1994 film, Fresh. Guillermo then went on to star in the cult-classics Party Girl as Parker Posey's roommate, Leo, Half Baked (1998) as Scarface, Stonewall as the drag queen La Miranda, and the Tom Hanks film The Terminal. His recent film credits include Down the P.C.H., No Destination, Evilution, and Grapefruit Moon.
Guillermo's versatile TV roles include Showtime's "Weeds," "Cane," "The Closer," "Chappelle's Show," and "ER."
Guillermo Diaz loves horror films, but his favorite roles are in the independents. "I feel closer to those films because they all were a labor of love. I love the process. You know, not really having a lot of money, but having this great idea and this passion for a project," Diaz said in an AfterElton.com interview.

Guillermo attended business school for a brief period before signing with an agent. He's never been formally trained as an actor.
