About Mathew Rodriguez:

Mathew Rodriguez is a student in the Honors Program at Fordham University, a writer, and a social justice advocate. His academic research is in the field of gender and feminist theory in literature. He has written and contributed opinion pieces for Fordham Lincoln Center’s Observer, Bricolage Academic Journal, UnderLAnd Magazine, and continues to write short fiction pieces for publication.
Mathew has worked as the Literary Intern at New York’s Lark Play Development Center, a Resident Assistant at Fordham University, and as a Paralegal at Gay Men’s Health Crisis. He has also presented on LGBT and leadership issues at the National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference, and has worked in Nicaragua with MADRE, a non-profit organization which advocates for women’s rights in Latin-America countries. He has served as the President of his Rainbow Alliance, as well as eagerly supported the schools’ gender egalitarian group, the staging of the Vagina Monologues, and the Global Outreach social justice program.
Mathew currently has a large Internet presence, where he keeps up a Twitter, Facebook, and an online blog about his dealings with dieting, dating, and speedreading. He hopes to pursue his two passions of writing and social justice to empower others to leave the world better than they found it.
