No problem with the parents...
- I've never really had problems meeting the parents. Even the hick mother had no problems with me, though some of the brothers were kinda distant (father was dead). I suppose it helps I look honest, have a degree, don't do drugs, etc. I also expect to be treated equally, as if it was no big deal, so I think this encourages the parents to do exactly that. I would say don't sweat it, it usually turns out better than you think, and whatever you do, don't respond negatively to any negative comments. My family still talks and invites my 2nd bf over, because we get along with him so well.

Meeting the parents
- Since I have just started a new relationship, I am working on getting to know my boyfriend before introducing him to my family. I don't want my family to scare him off. They frighten me, sometimes. However, I have introduced my boyfriends to my family in the past. Somehow or another, they all survived. My family accepts them (and me) for who we are. I am very lucky in that respect. My family is just insane (but what family isn't?).
