Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns when it comes to dating? Sometimes, our early encounters with men tend to repeat themselves in our dating lives as adults. Have your relationships with men changed since you were a kid? Tell us about your dating patterns? What's Your Pattern?

What Dating Pattern?

I have memberships in perhaps a dozen gay dating sites. None has been FRUITful. As I gradually unsubscribe from them, mostly due to no "matches", I have learned that as a 62-year-old disabled Vietnam Era veteran I must rely upon self-pleasuring only - no one with whom to partner. Boring!

Yes indeed.. always these 20-22yr olds

Ok.. I am SO known for this in gay scene that i live in, amongst all of my gay friends..Dating 20-22 white guys. I mean they stick to me like GLUE! Ive had many many MANY casual relatoinships, one nite stands , and dating relationships with this age group. Now I am 29 yrs old.. and having been around the block a million times,1 thing i am good at is gettin men. However, with Love (which is what i happen to be seeking) This is a troubling age group. Ive known this every single time i get involved with these youngins. I KNOW deep down..they are trouble, unsettled in who they are, immature, & Under Developed. But i just keep coming back to that age group. I recently just got out of a serious relatoinship with an almost 21yr old..where it was deep love & my heart got broken. (mainly because he didnt know who he was & couldnt give the love i deserved) . So....i get out there and meet more men.. and who do i go back to sleeping with & going on dates with?..20-22 year olds!

dating patterns

I found that I always am attracted to (and fall in love with) peoples faults and vunerabilities. This has caused me to find guys that appear meek, a little needy, I find this sweet and attractive. The only problem is after entering a relationship with this type - What was shy, actually turns out to be "desperately insecure" And as Im confident, It eventually tears apart the relationship piece by piece. And Im left standing thinking what the hell went wrong. Why does shy and sweet always end up with Drama s, and them chip chip chiping away at me, then an eventual split, with a knife through my heart!!!
