First Gay Bar Opens In Duluth

Duluth, the forth largest city in Minnesota, opened its first gay bar downtown.

"I'd like to think that as a community we are beyond making an issue of whether or not it's a gay bar," Duluth Mayor Don Ness said in support.

Duluth only has a population of 86,265 (2010), but Alvin Berg and Vince Nelson, owners of the new Flame Nightclub, said it has a bustling nightlife that's ready for a gay option.
