According to an internet poll administered by Zogby/GLCensus Partners the below percentage of 1,563 American gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people polled consider these top priorities for the gay rights movement:
Legal recognition of same-sex marriage for tax, estate & insurance purposes 47%
Equal opportunity protection in employment 16%
Increased integration with rest of America 16%
Hate crimes legislation to punish "gay bashing" 9%
Increased gay representation in government 7%
