| I Cheated on my Boyfriend |

Dear Zaida,
I truly love my boyfriend, but I cheated on him and he knows about it. How
do I show him that I mean it this time and work things out so that we can
move forward? How can I earn his trust? We are truly very much in love.
Please help... I do not know where else to turn. And i do not want to loose
him. Being without him hurts and I regret it. We have talked about having an
open relationship, but I honestly do not want that. I want to be monogamous
with him.

You should be honest and tell him that you would really like to be monogamous. Trust can be difficult to gain back once it has faltered. Be prepared for the possibility that he may not be able to let go of the past and forgive you. If he decides to come back to you, I suggest that you do as much as you can to assure him of your feelings. Being faithful requires discipline (just like going to the gym or keeping a tight budget). It is up to you to decide that your feelings for someone are worth the sacrifice of not following that wondering eye. -Zaida |
