AIDS

Definition:
An immunological disorder caused by HIV. AIDS or Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome affects the proper functioning of the immune system, increasing the susceptibility of contracting viruses or cancer. AIDS is transmitted through bodily fluids such as blood, saliva and semen. There is currently no cure for AIDS.
